GetCompiledPage Instance and caching

Hi All,

I am using ASP.net 1.1.

I have used HttpHandler for UrlRewriting for this I have used
GetCompliedPage Instance method.

Now because of this my caching logic is not working.

Scenario:

When user requests http://localhost/application/abc.html.I rewrite this
url as http://localhost/other_application/xyz.aspx using
GetCompliedPage Instance method.

Now I want to cache "http://localhost/application/abc.html" Url.
Is there any way for enabling page output caching for
"http://localhost/application/abc.html" Url.
Any help in this regards will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hi, I have a website which is made up of dynamic pages. Each page that's loaded has some code which looks at which template to load amongst other things, which causes the page to take a little while to be processed. At the moment I have programmatic page caching in the "loader" using paramater caching to send a cached version of every requested page back to the user. How can I get particular elements inside each page to cache without...

Hi, I have a number of documents stored on my web server and these documents should not be servered to anybody unless the user is both authenticated and authorized. This authentication and authorization comes from a custom database. To stop users simply requesting the documents directly I have written a http handler to intercept requests for *.doc. This works well and all of my requests are intercepted by the handler.

Hi, I have written an HttpHandler to process page requests for a custom file extension. The handler gets called as expected and after searching the web for examples I have used a method called GetCompiledPageInstance from the PageParser class for getting the web page within the ProcessRequest method of the custom handler. I then ran a performance test requesting the custom page mutliple times (the custom file for the test was an aspx page...

I am working with a custom handler factory that serves aspx pages based on url. When this is called, it compiles the page based on the url that the application pool uses to serve up the page. Is there a way to "re- compile" or change the underlying .aspx page displayed when calling this method for a specified url? So is the only way to change the layout to restart the webapp or touch the web.config which are not viable options.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
