I have a datagrid with a template column that contains a dropdown list.
I currently fill and display the dropdown list on the page load. This is
working correctly. I am NOT using an Edit Column. I am receiving errors
when trying to set the selected value of the dropdown within the
ItemDataBound() subroutine. Below is the code I am using. I hope someone
can tell me if this is possible.

In ASP.NET 2.0 and the formview control how do you get the value of the
identity field of a newly inserted record?
In ASP.NET 1.1 after the new record was saved you just said
intNewIdentityID = Dataset.tblMtTable.IndentityID
Simple but can't seem to do it in the formview.

On my aspx page I have a FormView with a RadioButtonList bound to a column on
a DataSource table. The form starts up in Edit mode. I want the formView to
start up with nothing yet selected in the RadioButtonList. Is there a way to
do this? With null in the table/column, I get a startup error complaining
the SelectedValue is invalid because it does not exist in the list of items.

version, etc). When a software version is selected, the database version
dropdownlist updates itself accordingly. When in edit mode, everything works
fine - the selected value in each list defaults to the value from the
database record (selectedvalue=bind...).

Hi,
I am using FormView Contol, TextBox (Hidden ) and Submit button
whose caption is "View Page" in my aspx page.
Here is what I am tryin to do.When page loads I generate dynamic
url in text box . I want to append exisitng value in Formview field
"CustomeID" to url. When userclicks on "view page" ,new window is
opened with dynamic url.
I am able to do generarting url dynamically, but dont know how i can
do rest of the things. Any idea?
