I know this was posted earlier, but I am re-posting it due ot my failure to
provide certain info. I appreciate any and all help concerning this!
We have web server A, sitting outside out firewall in the DMZ
Database server (FoxPro) B, sitting inside out firewall
No trusts, seperate domains.
Webserver A, running just ASP (No ASP.NET) needs to access a DB on B, but
just times out
with no error (bottom of page says done).

I have 2 Suse 9.1 boxes with similar configurations. I'm in the
process of moving some PHP code from one server (192.168.0.100) to
another (192.168.0.102). MySQL is running on each server, and the same
PHP code can access its respective localhost databases and make queries
with no problem.
However, the code on the old server (.100) can access a MySQL server
(12.xx.xx.50) outside the firewall (192.168.0.1), while the code on the

We're having some problems trying to get the Control Center app working
across a firewall.
I've opened up TCP port 50000 as per the instructions I received, but I'm
still not able to connect. Are there any other ports (either TCP or UDP)
that I need to open? Any secondary connections?

I use Access to send emails through SMTP. I'd like to mirror the
process and retrieve emails from my SMTP/Pop3 server without the
intermediary of Outlook. I don't want to spend a lot of money on 3rd
party applications.
Can I do this through code or is there some reason why it is not

Do I get more scalability if I split my database? The way I calculate
things now, I'll be lucky to get 100,000 records in my Access 2003 mdb.
Here some math:
Max mdb/mde size = 2000 x 1024 = 2,048,000k
Let's say on average each record in the database consumes 15k
2,048,000/15 = 136,533 records

I did lot of googling to see if I can solve the SQL server not found
problem while trying to run ASP.Net community starter kit from an XP
machine to Windows 2003 server hosting SQL server 2000 database. Tried
all possible combinations but it still fails.
