Issue in applying themes to Webparts in ASP.net 2.0

Hi
I have some issues in applying Themes to controls programatically , when
controls are inside WebpartZone.

I have put some Webparts inside WebpartZone, i want to apply themes and skin
to those programatically .

When i am trying to set the SkinId for the controls in Page_PreInit( ... )
event
, it's showing Null point reference.

Can somebody help me on this.

Show the line of code you are using to reference the control.

I am working with SharePoint 2003. I am using (using C#) an existing webpart as a child control (server control). I need to access/manipulate the HTML that the control outputs prior to rendering it to the the page. The control outputs a list in a one-column table format. I need to access the contents of the rows and output them with restrictions in my own table format. Does anyone have any examples of manipulating the HTML of a server...

I seem to be having a problem using web parts after the beta 2 release. Any time I try to have the WebPartManager on any page, I get the exception listed below. I've gone through the steps listed below and have gone as far as given EVERYONE full control of the App_Data folder. I am using the default settings (which I assume is the Cassini web server), so I believe it is a user permissions problem. Furthermore, if I publish the site...

Hi, I've a a site with nested master pages and content pages. I tried using a theme with a stylesheet in the app_themes directory referencing it in the web.config file from a pages tag theme attribute. This works for the content pages, but it doesn't seem able to apply the styles to the top master page even though I did set the master head tag to runat server. Is this by design? If so, what is the best way to apply styles to the top...

Hey again! In my quest to make proper use of OO PHP I would like to ask for a critique of the current method of doing themes in the Camera Life (http://fdcl.sf.net) software and see if an OO approach is more appropriate. This program consists of multiple PHP pages that include a common.php file. My motivation is to make making themes easier, so we can get more theme contributors! Themes consist of image files, a css file and a PHP...

My experience now working with master pages on and off for 6 months is that they can be very dangerous when working with themes. One example in particular is the changes I made to my banner menu which now work just fine with all my themes on my development machine but on my production server my non-standard themes are showing effects that are no longer in place even with a complete re-copy of my project. Problems like this with...

Hi, I was going to ask a question, but I think I've answered it so now I am going to rant about how crappy ASP.NET themes are instead. As I've indicated above, my problem today is with themes. Per microsoft "Only one theme can be applied to each page. You cannot apply multiple themes to a page, unlike style sheets where multiple style sheets can be applied."

I'm working on a project where the user of a site will receive custom content, depending on a set of parameters. The content will all be contained in UserControls (.ascx), that will be used as webparts on a page. We need to add the webparts dynamically to the site, depending on the status of the user: this involves a personalisation of a travel website, so a user can be "before" a trip, "during" a trip and "after" a trip, and depending...

Hello all, I have a strange problem with a new install of Gallery2: Firefox does not display the style of the pages while IE does (but nobody I know uses IE). I'm not familiar with the way Gallery2 generates its pages but my config uses Apache (on Windows), php5, MySQL, etc... There are several themes available in Gallery2 but none display in FF. It's like the CSS is ignored. The pages I get in the browser contain the following CSS...

Why don't we see more WebParts being used on the web? SharePoint gets all the fun? And what are the prevailing opinions be they what they may about the use of WebParts rather than WPF when the context would be the development of a service which enables users to select templates that have pre-established zones which function as content containers on a web page? PopFly has a "build a web page" service for example. I need something similar...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
