Vsiaul Studio and Firefox

My computer has been hijacked and I cannot get it out.

My default browser is now firefox.

How can I indicate to VS that the execution browser is now firefox?

Right click any aspx file in the Solution Explorer;
select "Browse with"; then navigate to your Firefox installation directory
and select firefox.exe; then select "set as default".

From that point on, every time you select "view in browser",
by right-clicking any file in the solution explorer, Firefox will be used to open the file.

I've been trying to use a browser other than IE in VS.NET with no success. The default browser on my PC is Firefox, and it is also the default browser for opening web documents from the Solution Explorer in VS.NET. But when I click the Play button or hit F5, it is still IE that is being launched. Is there a way ? A registry key somewhere ??...or something obvious that I didn't see...or maybe it's illegal to do it ? ;-)

Hi all, My apologies for this post being perhaps slightly off topic, at work I am only able to access MS newsgroups and I was under to find one perhaps more appropriate. My problem..... Visual Studio defaults to having this DOCTYPE at the top of my web forms.

Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but I'll give it a try. When Firefox was my default browser on my computer, I installed Visual Studio .NET. Everytime I ran my web-application, Visual Studio started firefox (like it should do). I now have uninstalled Firefox, but when I run my web-application now, I get the following message: Unable to start program 'C:\PROGRA~1\MOZILL~1\FIREFOX.EXE'.

Hi all Has anyone had any success in using Visual Studio and Firefox -> View Source. If I click view source on firefox in a site I'm developing that requires a login, the source I see is the login page. I.e., I don't see the current page I'm viewing even if I'm logged in. Has anyone else experienced this? The reason I ask is because I have an HTML and javascript validator extension running in firefox which helps brings the bug rate...

Hello there, :) I need a frameset that will have the same look and behavior in Firefox 1.5+ as it does in IE 6+. Here is a URL for it: http://66.51.164.93/fs/default.htm In IE, the "seam" between the three frames is blue, 4 or 5 pixels wide, and -- most importantly! -- draggable! It is great -- in IE, that is. Is it possible to have this same look and behavior in Firefox?

Hello everyone, I'm working on this css site redesign http://www.maranathamalta.com/4given/testingmain.php I've tested on my machine running XP using Firefox 2.0.0.4, IE6 and IE7. It looks right on those browsers. However on some other machines running XP, MacOS and Linux, using firefox 2 and firefox 1.5, the cross graphic gets shifted down. On another Linux machine with firefox 2, the graphic looks right.. I'm trying to determine...

It seems that most pages in my webapp are okay but a couple of the Firefox is munging up. So, on my information page there is a gridview in the content section of the page. The masterpage contains searching capabilities for the gridview. The masterpage has controls contained in a panel control,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
