password correct, but fail login

ad
I use login controls in my web application, and have web.config as below:
<forms name="HealthCoo kie" loginUrl="Login .aspx" defaultUrl="Hom e.aspx"
protection="Val idation" >
If the user enter wrong password in the login control, the failureText of
login control will appear.

When I deploy my web application to another machine, and the use enter the
correct password(the failureText does not appear), but it still can login.

Why the login control do not do well in some machines?

Please can someone put me out my misery! Im trying to find a multiple user/password protection script that will redirect the specific user to a specific directory. At the moment I have set up htaccess which is fine but can only protect one directory unless I put htaccess on each directory which I think is a bit long winded, but is there any other way I can do this with using only one password script? Any info would be greatly...

OK, I've Googled for this and cannot seem to quite find what I need. So, I turn to the Gentle Geniuses here for help. Here is what I need to do from within a script: Given a username and a password (plain text): 1) Validate that the password is correct for that user *without actually logging in*. 2) If the password is valid, return a list of all the groups the user belongs to. Otherwise, return some error string.

I've got an application running with table-based security: i capture the user's windows login with fOsusername, then have them enter a password checked against their username/login in my own table. The problem is, they can't remember the passwords they've created, and I spend more time than I want to resetting. Here's what I'd LIKE to have happen: when the user opens the application (Access2k), a dialog box appears with the windows...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
