One site I've written allows the user to install an IE extension menu (not
malware at all) by downloading/merging a short .REG file. Worked like a
peach on Win2K Server, now that I upgraded to Server 2003, it returns a 404
file not found error. I'm positive the file is there/spelled right. I
changed it to .txt and it displays the text in the user's browser.

Hi,
I'm using a non-blocking connect to connect to a server.
Works fine -- the server gets and accepts the connection.
However, once the connection is established, I cannot
retrieve either the local or the remote endpoint from
the client-side socket.
The *really* strange thing is that Socket.LocalEndPoint is null.

I have an odd problem. I'm beating myself bloody trying to get
debugging to work. I have VS.Net 2005 installed on a Windows XP SP2
workstation and on a W2003 Server. The asp.net application is
working. I need to debug. I get the error:
"Unable to start debugging on the web server. The debugger cannot
connect to the remote computer" ...and something about it not existing
or firewall problems. I'll note here that I can manually...

Because C# has no native SSH class, I am using SharpSSH. Sometimes, for
reasons I do not know, a Connect call will totally lock up the thread and
never return. I am sure it has something to do with weirdness going on with
the server I am talking to. Anyhow, this locked up state happens once in a
while (maybe once per day) and I can't figure out how to deal with the locked
up thread.
If I issue a Thread.Abort() the exception never...

Our department reveived new PCs a few weeks ago. Alas, due to new security
policies, we weren't immediately set up as admins of our own machines, so
most of us developers had issues getting SQL Server and IIS running
properly.
They apparently fixed all permissions (granting us admin rights) and we
