Master webpartzone

Hi,

In my application I would like to have a 'master' webpartzone. A zone which
content is the same on every page. I tried to create as custom
Personalization Provider which saves the content of the 'Master' zone using
always the same path ("master").

In the LoadPersonaliza tionState I tried to combine the webparts of the
asking page with the webparts of the "master" page, but the webpartmanager of
the Personalization State has no zones after calling the
base.LoadPerson alizationState.

Can anyone help my creating a "master" webpartzone?

Marc,

Really it would be awesome to have a masterpage webpartzone. I spent a more
than a couple days on that one too and its on my wish list.

Make pseudo masterpage webpartzone by DWS:
Instead of navigating to a different page hide/show webpartzones based on
the querry string in the page_init routine of course the masterzone is always
visible.

Examples
http://localhost/DWS.aspx?z=blogs
'show blogs zone...
'hide gallery zone...
zoneblogs.visib le=true
zonegallery.vis ible=false

http://localhost/DWS.aspx?z=gallery
'show galleryzone...
'hide blogs zone...
zoneblogs.visib le=false
zonegallery.vis ible=true

Good Luck

Hi, I try to customize the style of my Webparts with a CSS Stylesheet. Therefore I define a CSS File and define some CSS Classes. Now a problem occurs. Some of the classes have no effect on the Webparts in the zone. The PartStyle works. But the CssClass of the style PartMenuPopUpStyle has no effect. If I use the properties of the style ( BorderColor etc.), I can customize the style of the webpart. <asp:WebPartZone ...> .... <PartStyle...

Is it possible to utilize the web part components such as WebPartZone, CatalogZone, EditorZone as well as the other Web Part components to Master pages such that they are then available on all pages that use the Master? I've had trouble trying to attempt this. Thanks, Dave

I have two questions for which I have yet to figure out an answer: 1. I have a page with three webpartzones, one zone on each row of a three-row table. I have the layoutorientation property set to "horizontal" so that the webparts will be added side by side. Is there any way to have the webparts wrap in the zone? Currently, I have the webpartzones set to 100% width to take up all available room in the table cell. When you add...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
