Hi Fastau,

You can redirect to any legal web address. Just get the login ID and do a
test, then use Response.Redire ct() as follows...

Protected Sub Page_Load _
(ByVal sender As Object, _
ByVal e As System.EventArg s)
Dim loginid As String = "ken"
Select Case loginid
Case "ken"
Response.Redire ct("http://www.kencox.ca")
End Select
End Sub
Is that what you meant?

I don' think that is quite it.

I want Ken and only ken to be able to get to http://www.kencox.ca

Without logging in again at http://www.kencox.ca, since he just logged in at
my original page

Make sense?

Hmmm, didn't seem to work. I have set session.use_cookies = 1 and session.use_trans_sid = 1 in my php.ini file. Index.php contains: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- <?php ini_set("session.use_cookies", "off"); ini_set("session.use_trans_sid", "on"); session_start(); $_SESSION = ""; $_SESSION = ""; echo "<form method='POST' action='login.php'>

Hello, I'm having an odd problem with combining an authentication session variable with header() redirection. Basically I have an authentication script which checks a username/password. If the login is correct a session variable containing the username is set and the user is redirected to the (restricted access) main menu page. The problem is, the FIRST (and only the first) time the user attempts to login, the "Session variable not...

Hi there, I have implemented a login sequence using session variables for a PHP/MySQL DB which I took over development. I read some books and this NG and it seemed straight forward. However the website I have taken over uses two frames. The left hand side is always a navigation frame with the righthand side of the screen always being the target. I developed a main web page where login takes place and if successful a session variable...

Hi, I've been searching for a long time, but couldn't come up with a solution or a clue, so I submit my case to your attention : 1. On a Windows client, an application creates a temporary htm file and opens it with IE 6. This file only contains a redirection instruction to an outside URL : <META HTTP-EQUIV=Refresh

I need a web app framework in python with support for session management (ala ASP/PHP). However, unlike some modules I found, I need to integrate with an existing Apache install without opening any new application server ports (not my server). Is there such a module which I can just toss it into pythonpath and get to work?

Hi everybody I'm setting up 2 websites for a friend of mine, en I'm have problems with one of the sites. The situation: I have 2 different domains (both in the .NL domain). Both domains provides the possibility for users to log in. The loginscript and the databases are hosted at server 1. The site at server 2 contains a link to the loginpage at server 1. That works well... so far.

I have noticed that the id of my session object changes when I switch from a non-secure to a secure connection. What I'm trying to do: I have a cookie that is built on the non-secure side of things. What I need to do is to switch to a secure connection and then later on while still in that secure connection delete the cookie that was created on the non- secure side. I need to do this because I can not reference the non-secure cookie...

Howdy! I've googled and googled for this without success, and either it's so easy that nobody has ever asked, or there is some serious reason nobody would do this. But I'm going to ask anyway. I'd like to move my ASP.NET session ID from the default cookie into the URL. I tried the "cookieless" approach and it doesn't work for me for two reasons:

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
