Hi,
I have an asp.net form where if the user enters an
incorect date I change the color of the textbox to red and
also display a label field with a message saying the date
is invalid. What I would like to do is to have some way to
trap the event where the user changes the date and reset
the color of the textbox to white and change the error
lablel to hidden. I want to do this before the page gets

Hi all,
I'd like everything to be done server-side and don't like to see any
Javascript on my page source. Would it be possible also to prevent the
validator controls render a blank space when no error message is
displayed?
I'm using WebControls, should I just switch to HTMLControls and maybe
throw all the user submit value in cache and retrieve the values from
there?

I have a problem that sounds simple but seems impossible with asp.net.
I calculate a variable in the Page_Load event, call it X. Then I want
my range validators to fire when a textbox value is greater than X.
They should give an error message, both as a messagebox and inline in
the page. I can't get the range validators to use X. I get syntax
errors when I try. I tried Custom Validators and got the same problem.

Hello,
Currently I am using a large input form on a website that is based on
ASP and JavaScript.
Depending on the values that are filled in by the user the forms does a
refresh and makes other input fields available to fill in. I use the
JavaScript OnChange function (=clientside) that creates a querystring
and does a refresh of the page. It works fine.

I've been trying to execute a javascript function just before submit on a
form that contains an <input type="file"> input field and it isn't working.
The reason I want to do this is the end users will be uploading files that
are between 1 and 2 Meg. in size, and they are not too knowledgeable about
computers. I want to disable the form buttons so they can't hit them after

Hi all,
Has anyone been able to write some custom javascript on the onclick event of
submit button to do certain things like disable submit button, only submit
form once etc. This was a breeze in 1.1 since I could edit the .js file. Now
in 2.0 I can no longer do this. Also, my code would have to be called after
all client-side validation was done and was successful. Any ideas?

I have a page with several controls on the page and all except one are
hidden. This page works like a wizard by hiding and showing controls
has the user clicks next. The control are hidden by setting
visible=false in the code-behind, so they are never rendered. My next
button validates the page and on some controls I get the JavaScript
error below:
