I am using the new login control for a web application. It does not

Dear all, I try to use the Login control newly provided in VWD 2005 Express. It is said in the online help that it must have SQL Server 2005 Express installed to save the credential infomation. For SQL Server 2005 Express is still in beta and it provides little management tools, it's difficult to manage/manipulate the database objects. So I want to use SQL Server 2000 instead of it, but I can not find any information to configure the...

Hello, I have been working on an ASP.NET application for the past 2 weeks and everything has been going fine. I am using the ASP.NET login controls to handle user logins and I'm using SQL 2005 Workgroup Edition for the backend. The problem I am have is for some reason the login control will no longer authenticate. I am using the same password as before and now it's not working.

I installed visual studio 2005 and created a website. I turned on the forms authentication and allowed the system to create the aspnetdb.mdf file for me under the App_Data directory. Everything works fine locally running the site locally with the sql server express edition. However, when I publish to an IIS site, I can see the login aspx page I created, but can't authenticate. I get an error listed below. Should an IIS server be able...

I'm a newbie to asp.net, but I have been a programmer for years. I have a question that I'm hoping someone can give me a good answer for, I have been trying to set up a site remotely and I've been using the login control that comes with Visual Web Developer 2005 Express, this comes with SQL 2005 Express. The remote site is not a company computer, but basically a host that I'm paying for. When I deploy on this remote site and try to log...

Experiencing a little weirdness with SQL Server Management Studio... Have created a login, that has fixed server role "securityadmin". The login can create/drop logins, add/remove them as users in databases, etc. The login can change another login's password, using SQL from a query window (e.g. alter login bob with password='abc') However, the login *cannot* change another login's password,

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
