I have been consuming a IBM Websphere (Java) web service using .Net 1.0 front
end writen in VB.NET. The proxy class submits a soap request and gets a soap
response.
When I migrated the front-end to .NET1.1, the response from the web service
appears as null in the proxy class. This only happens with .NET1.1, .NET1.0
is ok and works fine. I have played around with the
System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapDocumentMethodAttribute, but no luck....

Hi...
I'm trying to write a web service client and am running into a problem with
getting a response back from the server. I know that a full xml message is
being returned (thanks to a tcp/ip sniffer) but in VS.NET all I get is a null
reference.
The server is a java program running on websphere. The provider of the web
service has gotten a websphere client and an apache axis client to work
correctly, so I don't think it's a problem...

Hi
I've got an unusual problem I'm hoping someone could advise me on, regarding
the formatting of the body of an HTTP response from a web service.
We are using HTTP POST rather than SOAP for calling web methods to save
network traffic over a cellular network. Each web method returns an
XmlDocument with a <resproot element. Most web methods simply return a
single value as the content of the <respelement (integer or string).
However...

Hi,
I've generated a client proxy and web service stub using WSDL.exe.
All appears ok. The client proxy .cs is in the client app running in VS2005
and the web service stub is running in another instance of VS2005. Both
projects build and when debugging, brealpoints are hit.
When the client app is using instantiated client proxy objects, the response
object sent to web service 'arrives' empty. When the request object is sent

Hi
Our company has a .Net web service that, when called via asp.net web pages
across our network works 100%! The problem is that when we try and call the
web service from a remote machine, one outside of our domain, we get the
error.. ** Client found response content type of 'text/html;
charset=Windows-1252', but expected 'text/xml' **. We can discover the web
service by typing in the url of the asmx so we know the server can 'see' it...

This is my first time coding a web service in .NET and ran into a slight snag that I was hoping that anyone could help me out on. I'm using the generic Hello World web service that is stubbed out on a new web service project since it can convey what I would like to do in the smallest amount of code.
I've figured out how to change the <HelloWorldResponse> to a different element name by using the SoapDocumentMethod parameters, but I can't find...

ONU (Optical Network Unit) is one of the key components for providing high-speed Internet services. Its primary function is to act as an endpoint device located at the user's premises. Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
