I have a web site built with ASP.NET based on the dwamish books
sample. The site has a few DLL's (façade, business rules, DAL and a
DLL for configuration loading and logging) that it depends on and
(obviously) a web.config file.
We also need to create for this site a WAP site. So we started a
Mobile Web Application and created it using the same n-tier DLL's
Both sites on the Application_Start on global.asax file call a
function which...

Hi
We have the html portion of our site in the site root folder on a remote
site hosted with a web hosting company. I am now trying to add some asp.net
bits to the site but in trying to keep these separate from the main site, I
have copied the asp.net files into a sub folder under the root. The problem
is that I am having problems with the web.config file when running the
asp.net main aspx page, as presumably the web.config file needs to...

I'm new to asp.net so bare with me. I'm reading through the asp.net
unleashed book and am to the section on creating classes. After creating a
..vb file which I can successfully compile and placing the .dll file in the
bin directory I get the following error message: BC30002: Type 'Quote' is not
defined. Adder is in the new namespace I created in the .dll file. I know
that the coding is error free. I've check it over numerous times and...

I created a Web Application Project in VS 2005.
The site is working fine in the development computer.
Then I transfer all my files and dll to the production computer.
I have a login form. If I try to log in, the production computer
automatically generates an App_Data folder (the development computer
doesn't have this folder at all) and it also generates an error saying
that I don't have SQL Server 2005, which of course I don't, I'm not...

Hi All,
I would like to create a httphandler to set text watermark on image files
before it gets displayed to the user.
But this handler must listen specific folder or virtual directory(on same
IIS) not all the image files in the web application, for example it should
work for only "/Images/Products" folder and all its subfolders. Or
"Products" virtual directory and all subfolders.
Is there a way to do this ?

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
