I've got a weird problem going on - I've got a table of dynamically created buttons. Each button has the X/Y value of the buttons position in the table assigned to it's CommandArgument property and the name of a common command (btn_Command) assigned to it's Command property. The creation of the table is done by a function called drawGeo. drawGeo is called during the initial Page_Load (!IsPostBack), but should be called by btn_Command on...

I have message entry screen that's causing me a bit of an issue. At the
moment, there are 2 buttons, one is used to send message to another user
(btnSend) and another is used to send messages to all users (btnSendAll).
When user hits enter, I also simulate the effect of clicking button
(btnSend). However, what I found btnSend doesn't fire (unless I click on the
button).
The postback function I call is as follows:

Hi Group,
I have an aspx form with a variable number of buttons added dynamically,
with id's like b01, b02, b03...
Whenever I click one of these buttons, the form is posted back.
I need to find out which of the buttons triggered the postback *in the
Page_Load* - here I have some code that needs to know which button was
clicked so it will generate different output for the page.

I need to have a button cause an autopostback. How can I do this?
I have textboxs on webform that supply values for a calc but not all will
get filled at any particular time. So I need a button that signals once user
is done to do an autopostback. How can I do this?
Thanks,

Hi,
I have a page that has a datagrid bound to a dataset. Items are added to
the dataset at particular times (ie the click event of an item in a tree
control) then bound to the grid. The grid has an image button in a Template
column that is used to remove an item (dataset row). I can't re-bind the
grid on the postback or I lose the event handler for the button. I also have
a column that contains a textbox that I need to handle the...

Hi,
In ASP.net 2.0 I make a control which add the same controls dynamically. In
the oninit event I add the controls to the controls collection. After that
the loadviewstate event fills in the information on postbacks. The control
can add and delete controls that is why on the postback I don't know how many
controls there are.
At the moment I am able to get the controls rendering but I have problems to
save the count of the dynamic...

I have a WebForm where I'm dynamically creating some controls and I'm having
difficulty understanding how the state is being persisted and how to work
with it.
I've created a simplified example to demonstrate my issues. Lets say I have
a WebForm with a DropDownList where the user selects a number from 1 to 10
(the DropDownList is not dynamically created). I also have a button on there
that I use to trigger a PostBack.
Based on the...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
