Hi,

Does anyone know how to create an announcement board from scratch using

qwe85,

There are all kinds of open-source offerings of ASP.NET Bulletin boards,
guest lists, and so on. I'd start my search at www.asp.net in the Control
Gallery section, or at gotdotnet.com in the User Samples section.

I'm looking for a simple, filesystem-based message board. (No MySQL!) Something that I could include easily in my code: include '../inc/messageboard.php'; .... so that the board shows up at the bottom of every PHP page. The board should have just the basic features, like: - posting capability

I have tried a couple of times now to post an announcement of the latest version of pyparsing, but it does not seem to be making it past the news server, neither through my local ISP's server nor through GoogleGroups. Could it be because I am also posting to comp.lang.python.announce, and this moderated group is holding up posts to all groups? (Doesn't really make sense to me, but it's all I can come up with.) Or is the announcement...

Hi Everyone, I'm working on developing a chess game and i decided to use c++ for its object oriented approach. I have a bass class unit and is inherited to distinct number of units (like king, queen, pawns etc...), i will have pure virtual functions in the base class for move(), attack() etc which are applicable to all units and would override them in the child classes. Function specific to pawn like recovering of another unit once it...

I would like to view physical memory that is mapped to a pci board. I am using a tool called WinIO to try to create a virtual address to that physical memory. It works for both read and write of some addresses, like 0x9FFF0. However, the resource the board uses is address at 0xE8100000 which I cannot pick up with the tool. I have confirmed that address in windows device manager and in the BAR0 entry in the table that the PCI board...

So I'm writing this program. I have the board constructed, and I'm having a problem making a move. At this point I just want to make a move, I'll work on whether it is a legal move after that. The code is posted below. I have a class for board, and the pieces are part of the board class. I also have a class for human move and computer move, however I'm not using those (yet). I don't know whether I need to use a seperate class for the move,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
