Several threads have discussed the accuracy of time calculated using
script when Daylight Saving Time (DST) is considered. A page at

and how it differs in various parts of the world. There is a calculator
for the US and EU systems. However there are other variations in the
world.
In the US, I live in the CST time zone. However this is called CDT when

Hi,
I have an ImageButton which, when clicked, redirects to another page. The
problem is that page A (where the ImageButton is located) has lots of
information, but when I click the button, it redraws the header of the
table, which we'd like not to happen.
My question is: Is there any way of prevent this postback? Or, is there any
way of, in Page_Load, detect that it is happening due the click on the
button, so I could redirect it...

I'm new to ASP.NET and I'm not use to the way things are handled with
this technology. I've been told that when I have a control, I should
only bind the data to it once, and not on each post back (basically
have the data binding done in the If NOT IsPostBack Then statement).
How come? How does this information get preserved?
Which raises another question. Becuase I want to get away from the
spaghetti code approach, I would like to create...

I have three questions about web part pages. All help is appreciated.
1. Moving around web parts, minimizing and resizing...all cause the page to
post back. Is there a way to stop this postback?
2. Client's requirement is to allow the users to choose page layout just
like on msn my space . I could build a table dynamically and add web zones
and then web parts to it. Any better solution?

Is there anyway to prevent a postback event when a web part is moved into a
different zone? I am using the MSNBC weather web part and it fires a java
script which is causing an error because the page is posting back.

Hi,
I have a FileUpload control on the last step in a wizard control. I'd like
the control to upload the file only when the Finish button is clicked
(present on the last step). Unfortunately the control also uploads the file
when the Previous button is clicked. I'm assuming that this is because the
page is posted-back (submitted) to the server.
Is there a way to change that behaviour?
