At a recent MSDN conference, one of the presenters vehemently said that
VS.NET 2003 (because of its web project) is only good for _single_
developers. He said that if you're working in a team environment (i.e. more
than one developer), VS.NET 2005 is the way to go.
We are currently developing on classic ASP and want to move to ASP.NET soon.
But hearing that comment, our team of 5-10 developers might want to wait for

Hi,
I had Visual Studio 2003 installed, and installed also visual Studio 2005
Beta 2.
The problem is, when I am starting now (double click) a solution
(*.sln-file), it always start it with Visual Studio 2005, and not 2003. I'm
trying to change it in the registry, or jsut simply with an "open with" and
the "always use this program to open"-option checked, but it doesn't work.
Simply changing it in the "file types" in the explorer doesn't...

I'm trying to draw a comparison between the two, but I'm having trouble
finding info about .NET.
Would it be reasonable to demand I get use .NET studio?

I have a friend that does all of their web page development in FrontPage
and she has asked me to create some asp.net pages for here with some db
functionality. I know nothing of Frontpage ans she knows little about
ASP.Net.
My question is that if she designs the "appearance" of the web page in
front page, can I just suck that page into asp.net and then add all of my
controls and the code behind page? I know that the framework requires...

I am creating a web site in VS 2003 using ASP.NET. Part of the web site is being ported from a FrontPage 2003 development effort that was basically HTML. What would be the most efficient way to transfer the HTML and put it in the VS 2003 ASP.NET project
Also, VS 2003 seems to lack some of the GUI capabilities of FrontPage for designing a page using HTML. Do other Web developers work solely in VS 2003 when designing HTML
