Hi
I'm about to upload my site and I have switched to release version. Is that
enough or do I still need to disable
<compilation defaultLanguage="vb" debug="true" />
the debug="true" in the .pdb file?
Is the .pdb necessary for the release version?
Thanks a bunch.

I've come across an odd situation, where doing a floating point
division produces different results for the same numbers. Basically,
there are 4 ways to run this application:
A) Debug build, inside the IDE
B) Debug build, outside the IDE (e.g. launched from Explorer)
C) Release build, inside the IDE
D) Release build, outside the IDE
Using methods A-C produces one result, and using method D produces a

Hi,
I think that my question about setting(s) for the project.
I need to debug DLL project.
I used 2 recommendation from VC.Net:
- set external program as a start program of my dll (at properties)
- add second project (exe type, not dll) to the solution and set it as
startup project, adding my dll to references and call function from it

Can sombody please outline the diference between setting complication mode
from the toolbar in VS.Net (i.e. debug/release) and setting the debug
attribute (i.e. true/false) on the compilation element in web.config.
What ts the difference?
Which one wins?
Which one should I use and When?
Thank You,

I am developing an application using C# Express and last night a
strange event occurred. For no apparent reason, I am receiving error
messages such as:
Error 1 Unable to copy file
"obj\Release\PBScheduler.Form1.resources" to
"obj\Debug\PBScheduler.obj.Release.PBScheduler.Form1.resources". Could
not find file 'obj\Release\PBScheduler.Form1.resources'. PBScheduler
There are six in total of similar type. A setting must have changed

In vs2003, there was a nice dropdown, which allowed you to choose
whether to do a debug build or a release build. Where in the world is
it in vs2005? I've looked through all the toolbars.
Thanks.

When I tried debugging for the first time, I pop-up asked me if I wanted to set the project to enable debugging. Now I'm ready to release and can't find anyplace to set the build to 'release'. A pointer would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am having trouble getting debug and release builds to work properly
with project references using C++ .NET and Visual Studio 2003.
I created a test solution, with a basic Windows form C++ project.
I then add a class library, and add a reference to this project in the
first project.
When I do a release build, I see the following in the output from the
DLL compile:
/OUT:"C:\Documents and Settings\Andrew\My Documents\Visual Studio

When I do this, all code in the middle turns gray. I assume this is
because DEBUG is not defined. But, I thought it was for debug mode.
Is there something I am missing, or do people manually add DEBUG to
the debug mode compilation? How do I tell the IDE which mode I am
currently in (debug / release), like VC++ allows me to (it says in a
toolbar which compilation mode you are currently in)? Perhaps I am
merely in release mode, and thus...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
