Hi,
I am trying to save and read an image from MS Access DB based on the
following article:

Right now, I saved images without any errors. After reading the ole object
from db, I saved it to C: as file1.bmp and displayed on the web. But it can
not be displayed. After I manually sent the file to wordpad, it shows

Hi all,
I have a little program that uses OleDb to open and read an Excel
spreadsheet from VB.NET. The problem I'm running into is it's not reading
the column headers... The Excel worksheet looks has the following columns:
Data Description / Source / 1990 / 1991 / 1992 / etc.
It's set up as a pivot-table (at least I think so... not too familiar with

Hi,
I am facing a problem in uploading Excel data to the Database. While
uploading my code reads Excel Data using OleDbReader and store into a dataset
by looping through the OleDbReader result set. The problem is, if I give the
date as mm/dd/yyyy format it accepts, but when I give the date in dd/mm/yyyy
format, upto 8 rows of data it is reporting the date as invalid. After 8th

I have an excel sheet with Chinese characters in them.
I'm using the OLEBE 4.0 Jet Driver in C# Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
to read from the Excel sheet and then enter into mySQL database.
The problem isn't with mysql but with C# reading the chinese characters
from Excel.

I'm reading a CSV file with the date colum formatted as "YYMMDD" -"070310"
when viewed in notepad or similar trext editor.
However, in my app, using ODBCReader, the column value becomes "70310"
(integer value). This invalidates my attempt to convert the field into a
date field. I notice that this happened to other columns as well.
Is there a way to keep the original format (or to convert into date field
for this column?

I have several Excel files which I need to import into a SQL server. I open each file using

This works for a lot of the files, but apparently some of the files, it can't open throw'ing the following exception:

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
