How to update dataset from database automatically via Visual Data Designer

GS
Hello,

I used Visual Data Designer to design dataset based on table from SQL database. I made a change to database (increased length of some columns) but my dataset is still the same. Any way to update dataset in designer with new values without recreating it?

I am assuming a strongly typed dataSet?

If you made major changes simply redragging onto the form is the easiest
option, as it appears you used the WYSIWYG features. If you are simply adding
a value, edit the XSD in the designer and right click. In Visual Studio 2003
it says "run custom tool" (yeah, very descriptive), not sure the label in
2.0, but you simply need to redo the code file for the XSD (which is a proxy
to the data). After this, the worst you should have to do is a restart.

Hi, I'm trying to update a sql database from a web form using text boxes. I'm trying to learn C# on my own so I am at a complete loss. I created my sql connection, data adapter, dataset and data view in the visual studio designer. I'm trying to keep a history of the record so instead of editing the record I insert a new record with my changes. Instead of the changes, it inserts the orginal record. Below is the part of the code. Any help...

I cannot get my OleDbDataAdapter to update my database table from my local dataset table. The Knowledge Base doesn't seem to help - see item 10 below. I have a Microsoft Access 2000 database which indexes computer magazine articles for personal reference. What I am trying to do is essentially 'flip' the bits, when the user clicks in the checkbox. For example, if the CheckBox appears checked, and the user un-checks it, I want the underlying data field to change from a "1" to a "0" (and vica versa). I have the bindings worked out, I just can't figure out how to do the update. Here is my source:

I imported an Access database, created a dataset, added a bindingsource; and have been happily coding away - couldn't be easier. My problems started when I added a column to the database - I can't find a way to tell Visual Studio to "resync" the imported dataset and the external DB! I tried deleting the dataset, Visual Studio just crashed. Attempted to create another Dataset, discovered it crashed in the middle of an operation, and...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
