Building custom SNMP Manager using ASP .NET

Hi All,

Is there SNMP Manager API's available in .NET to communicate with SNMP
Agent. We need to build a custom Web-Based NMS Software using Microsoft
technologies(ru ns on IIS). Appreciate your inputs.

THanks,
Vanitha

Hello everyone, I have to send a snmp trap. I have a snmp manager (Openview) and I have started the Windows agent. Now I don't know what to do anymore. I believe I have to use the snmpapi.dll, but I can't find any reference to this library. I need a little example, could you help me? I'm sorry, but I am not a snmp expert (and I have just started with vb). Thanks and cheers, Gionni

Hi, I'm looking for a high-performance SNMP manager toolkit (SNMPv1 / v2, GET / GETNEXT / GETBULK) I can use with Python on Windows2K/XP. I wonder if anyone has got any suggestions? Commercial software is fine, as it's for a specialised in-house application. I've tried PySNMP which, while a fine piece of code (I've learnt a lot looking through it!), it's fairly CPU intensive in my application. I've also tried using UCDSNMP via...

Is it possible to connect to devices and read SNMP data with ASP? I did a search and all I could find was utilities for sale to do it, wondered if it can be done using straight ASP. We are using InterDev 6, IIS5 on W2KServer. Thanks!

I am having quite some difficulty in finding 'detailed' documentation on response files. If someone could steer me in the right direction, or tell me what the below components actually install and what they are required for, it would be much appreciated :) oracle.options.ops.opsca oracle.cartridges.ordcom oracle.cartridges.locator oracle.networking.netclt oracle.networking.snmp

Hi, I need to add SNMP functionality to an existing app. I need to be able to read specific real-time data from another system using SNMP traps. Anyone know a good sample or libs that can do this?

Man do I struggle with Enterprise Manager as a graphical tool for building views etc. Its flaky and hangs frequenlty so i have to kill it with the task manager and re open it. You cant debug functions ( or am I missing something) But the worst thing is that it appears to cache the results of views and doesnt refresh from the source.

Hi, I am new to SNMP and am currently required to design an SNMP based NMS. SNMPv2 has a predefined number of messages that can be sent to an agent (like get, getnext, getbulk, set etc.). Is there a way to extend these messages or define new kinds of messages. Can I send a new code (other than those defined by the SNMP protocol) in the "Message-type" field of an SNMP message if I knew the agent would be able to understand it ? Is there any...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
