This is my 2nd request. Is the question too vague? Or, too difficult to
answer. I'm really a newbie at this VS.NET stuff and do appreciate some help
on this problem.---I keep getting the error "Unable to Start Debugging on
the Web Server."
I am on a standalone, non networked computer running XP Professonal and
VS.net, and doing my development using VS.C#.
I "think" I have gone through eveything listed in help for this error, but...

A couple of days ago there was a thread "Returning the machine epsilon".
The responses in that thread suggested using Double.Epsilon or
Single.Epsilon. Since both these seem to return zero I thought I would try
to compute these epsilons myself. Using the following program fragment:
===================================
private void button4_Click(object sender, System.EventArgs e) {
float a;
float f= 1.0f;

I have copied my ASP.NET solution from one computer with VS.NET to another,
but when I try to run my solution I get the following error message:
"Microsoft Development Environment"
"Error while trying to run project: Unable to start debugging on the web
server. This project is not configured to be debugged."
When I click help it says that you should have the debug property of the
Web.config file set to true - which I already have. It...

VS.net
Win 2k3
I'm getting the following error when attempting to debug. I'm not
debugging remotely, just a local project.
"Unable to start debugging. Cannot find port. Check the remote machine
name."
Any insight is appreciated.

Hello,
I'm calling a VB.NET 2003 dll that's registered in COM+. I've added a
reference to it in a VB6 DLL that I'm calling from a Classic ASP page.
Previously I was able to attach to my .NET dll and debug it. I haven't
been able to do this in a while and I'm thinking that it must be
because I've installed VS 2005 on my machine subsequently.
So in my C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VB98 directory I
added a file called...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
