We're a two person dev team with a handful of 'testers' that help us out.
I'm looking for a simple issue tracker. I don't really want a full blown
help desk/bug tracking system, but rather a simple one. I'm thinking a wiki
might be a good tool for this.
Really, it's just a place for a few of us to jot our notes in a central
location. If we have a list of bugs, it likely won't need to be anything
more complex than a bulleted list of to-dos, hence the thought that a WIKI
would work.
So, anyone have a favorite .net-flavored WIKI or super-simple issue tracker
or even to-do list engine?
OpenWiki seems OK, but doesn't appear to have been updated in several years.
FlexWiki is also OK, but I'm not keen on the editing interface.

Perspective [1,2] has looked real good to me -- considering what we have to
choose from with .net options -- so I'm leaning towards implementing
MediaWiki [3] which Wikipedia has been built on but I don't know squat about
PHP and I'm worried I may not be able to support it.
The point is, any wikis developed using .net seem to pale in comparison and
when I have to worry about stuff like this I start to worry about my entire
world view if you know what I mean.

Ha! We don't always agree, Clinton, but I know what you're saying!
In the age of 'web2.0' it is frustrating being a .net developer. Most of the
'cool stuff' is exclipsing us at a rapid pace. The 'cool' stuff is nothign
special, but developers jump on and there are some great OS alternatives out
there.
Sooner or later we'll convince the guys downstairs to support a linux box
for us. Until then, yea, for things like WIKIs, it seems like slim pickings.

Hi -
I'm currently learning PHP using the ORA "cuckoo" book. I'm looking for
some reasonably interesting sample code to read and thought that a
*simple* Wiki could be ideal. Can anyone recommend a Wiki which
implements the basic functionality only to keep things simple, written
in nice clear PHP code? I'm hoping that a couple of hundred lines or
less of PHP will suffice to get a basic wiki running, without resorting
to obfusticated...

Hey!
Im starting up a new python based project, its a very simple file
tracker for our network. Some people would most likely call this a
kind of asset management system but its much simplier than that!
Anyway, Im running a server for the moment which exists as a Linux
machine with a NFS share on our network. It has a mySQL server
installed as well.

Microsoft has released the final version of the ASP.NET Issue Tracker Starter
Kit. The Issue Tracker Starter Kit is a free application produced by
Microsoft which illustrates best-practices when building ASP.NET 1.1
applications.
Both VB.NET and C# source code is available for download. The Issue Tracker
works with both Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Access.

Hi all,
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good issue tracker / project
management application they use with their software projects and
applications?
We're currently using SourceGear Dragnet but the application is pretty
rudimentary.
We've looked at FogBugz and AQDevTeam.

Hello,
I just read this mail by Brett Cannon:
http://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-dev/2006-October/069139.html
where the "PSF infrastracture committee", after weeks of evaluation, recommends
using a non open source tracker (called JIRA - never heard before of course)
for Python itself.
Does this smell "Bitkeeper fiasco" to anyone else than me?

At the beginning of the month the PSF Infrastructure committee
announced that we had reached the decision that JIRA was our
recommendation for the next issue tracker for Python development.
Realizing, though, that it was a tough call between JIRA and Roundup we
said that we would be willing to switch our recommendation to Roundup
if enough volunteers stepped forward to help administer the tracker,
thus negating Atlassian's offer of free...

Reading a recent message about a mozilla project bugzilla comment
thread 7 years old, I am curious re how dismally long and drawn-out a
tracker thread has so far been observed in the wild.
Possibly there are older issues in the Python project's own tracker,
for starters?
Separate prizes will be awarded for open source and proprietary
projects. The judges' decision is final, etc etc.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
