I created a typed dataset from which I am trying to access the data. When I use the following code to access a row
string name =dataset.person.firstName
I receive an error System.IndexOutOfRangeException as if there are no rows. Yet when I dump the data to a file I receive (sample of file)
<?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?><Dataset1 xmlns="http://tempuri.org/Dataset1.xsd"><Table><accountNo>1</accountNo><firstName>John ...

I'm filling a dataset with the return of a stored procedure. The dataset
contains a number of tables which I am naming within the stored procedure,
however when I try to access the tables using the names assigned I get
errors. It doesn't seem to be assigning the names correctly within the stored
procedure - instead it uses default names: Table, Table1 etc.
e.g. Accessing using aDataSet.Tables

Hello all, I've tried posting this same question on other newsgroups
with no luck. This group seems to have a lot more activity so I
apologize if you have seen it before.
I'm trying to create a web service in c# using paradox data. The data
is stored locally on my development machine with IIS also installed.
Web services are working to the point where I can return strings and
ints using Access2000 data but whenever I try and...

Good Monday Morning:
I am at a dead stop and I am hoping some other developers out there can help
me out. I have built a dataset that first contains a table populated from
SQL Server then I am adding another table that is built from the same Query
and data from active directory. I have built a parent/child relationship and
see all the data under my locals when debugging. Where I am having the
problem is displaying the data from the...

I don't get it. I have a VS2005 solution with a web service project and a
windows project. The web service when tested on its own works fine. But when
I add it as a web reference and refer to it my windows form code behind I
receive the following;
{"The request failed with HTTP status 401:
Unauthorized."}
when trying to execute
this.dataGridView1.DataSource = ws.ReturnStudentDS();
not sure if it is relevant but the web.config in the...

Hello,
I'm having problems accessing a complex XML child node (latitude &
longitude), and passing it to a function when the XML file has been read
into a DataSet. Specifically, the returned object from accessing the
'latitude' and 'longitude' nodes is not a DataTable (as specified in the
MSDN). I'm not sure what type is being returned, nor how to go about
finding out. Any pointers would be appreciated. Below is the relevent
Error message,...

Using VB.Net and ADO:
I've created a public variable on my main form and set it to = a dataset
which was crrated with the designer. I have another form with a datagrid on
it. In the designer, I can't set the datasource property to the dataset on
the main form, although i can do it in code.
Can someone tell me how to declare a dataset, either in a form or module,
that I can use globally throughout my application, including in the...

Hello!
This method below works but how can it work when I don't have any open on
myOleDbConnection ?
As I have understood this is that there must exist an myOleDbConnection
..Open(); in my case
but it works just as good with one as without one.
public ArrayList GetAllPostNames()

Hello
I developed and tested a web application using VS.NET 2003, VB, .NET
Framework 1.1.4322, ASP.NET 1.1.4322 and IIS5.1. It uses a web form.
I used the XML Designer to create an XML .XSD Schema to produce a Dataset.
In looking for a way to start adding data to the dataset programmatically, i
found this method in just about every thing i read.

I am wanting to populate several treeviews, one for the <TRs>
group and one for the <TGsgroup. Is there a simplier way
to populate the Treeview than the one I did below? It seems
difficult to get to the correct DataSet values.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<TestSample>

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
