Remote debugging .Net 2005

Hi!
I'm making my first webservice in vs2005 and would like to use remote
debugging.

I've developed the webservice at a server(a) in our local nettwork that
does not have IIS.
Therefore I've used another server(b) in the same nettwork to run the
webservice.

I've tried to use the "Attach to process..."-function from the
tools-menu through vs2005, but I can't find the right process to attach
to!

Do I have to install anything on server(b) where my website is running
so that I can debug from the code in server(a)? I do not have vs2005
installed on server(b).

If anyone understood anything of this...please help!

Camilla

I have encountered a problem with remote debugging under VS 2005 and ..Net 2.0 -- it seems that the framework installation does not include the "Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 Configuration" tool! My preferred method of debugging uses these steps: 1. Share the directory that contains the debug image; also share the folder that contains the debug monitor. 2. Configure the project debug mode to launch the exeecutable from the share rather...

The MSDN documentation on remote debugging is a bit sparse, to say the least, and there is almost no information available on the 'best' way to configure this. I should note that my development system is Windows XP Pro and the test machine is Windows 2003, both running the latest upgrades; Visual Studio 2005 is installed on the development system and the .Net 2.0 framework is installed on the test system. The two systems do not have the...

I'm writing an ASP.NET app, using Visual Studio 2003. VS is running locally on my laptop, but the web app is running on a remote server. My laptop is not in the domain. I do have a domain account. I had no issue creating the web app on the remote server after authenticating with the domain account, but I can't debug. It complains that I don't have rights. My domain account is in the administrators group on the remote machine. I also have...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
