decoding MIME attachments?

I am writing a simple POP email reader in asp.net (vb.net) - I have the
entire message read into a string variable. Can someone explain how to
parse the message and save any MIME attachments out to file(s) so the
user can download attachments to their local machine?

Hello everyone, my name is Tom W. And, I am new to the list, and have been using Python for about a year now. Anyway, I got a question! I am trying to decode MIME (base64) email from a POP3 server, but all I get is a corrupt file. I know that it good to begin with because I check it with another email client. This is what I am doing!

Hello. I'm trying to build a client using .NET/C# that is capable of communicating with an existing Webservice written in Java using Apache Axis. Now, I've encountered a problem trying to retrieve binary data (i.e. downloading files) which is sent by the service using the "SOAP with attachments" format (as per http://www.w3.org/TR/SOAP-attachments), i.e. as a MIME multipart/related message. Apparently, the.NET Webservice library does...

Hello, i want to write a PHP4 script that reads POP3 or IMAP mail and can decode the possible attachments in the email. I've looked around for some classes to do this, and found a few, but most of them seem to be very lowlevel or lacking in functionality. Is there a good script, class or example for decoding email attachments? I have used a class called attachmentread, but this class expects an attachment as disposition: attachment,...

I am working on processing eml email message using the email module (python 2.5), on files exported from an Outlook PST file, to extract the composite parts of the email. In most instances this works fine, the message is read in using message_from_file, is_multipart returns True and I can process each component and extract message attachments. I am however running into problem with email messages that contain emails forwarded as...

My query is regarding the decoding classes available in Exchange 2007. I am working on a problem where I want to decode a TNEF encoded MIME message. I am using the class Base64Decode in Microsoft.Exchange.data.Mime namespace and I am also able to decode the message if it doesn't contain an attachment . But , for a TNEF encoded message without attachment , the conversion fails. Do you have any suggestions ? Please help . In addition to that ,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
