I'm using VS.NET 2005 Beta 2. I have a helper C# class I wrote that I placed
in my /App_Code directory. Everything runs fine locally. However when I
use the "Copy Web" function to upload the site to the production server, I
get the following error when trying to run the page on production:
"System.Web.HttpException: The directory '/App_Code' is not allowed
because the application is precompiled."
Anyone know this works fine locally but...

Hi,
Im trying to add a dataset to the app_code directory using vs2005 \
SQL2005 beta 2. When I run through the wizard I select the option to
auto create new Stored Procedures (Select, update, delete, insert
commands) after already specifying a very basic select command that
consists of two fields.
All procedures are created fine and i'm able to save the xsd file.
Then I create a new gridview in which i use the xsd file object as my

How can I get a reference to the master page class? It is defined as a
partial class, but I cannot seem to type a variable to the name of the
partial class? The compiler continually shows "The type 'MyMaster' is not
defined."
I would like to reference the master page from a control, by casting the
Master property of the Page property to the type, but obviously I cannot do
this if I can't get a reference to the actual type.

I noticed that when you right click App_Code directory there is an option to create dataset which creates .xsd file in that directory. I can see that I can design tables and links there but I have no idea what this can be used for.
Can somebody provide references or web links about this feature.

I'm trying to validate input from an xml source to a dataset in
dotnet2.0. As far as I can see, type errors correctly cause an
exception, but values that are the correct type but do not satisify
xsd:restriction conditions are ingested without a murmur. Is this a bug
or a feature?
Very frustrating.

Is putting a VB class file in the special directory named App_Code the
same as relocating the VB class file from the App_Code directory to
another directory & then using the VBC tool, compiling the VB class
file into a DLL & putting the DLL in the bin directory?
