Is it possible in asp.net to have a datalist in the itemtemplate of another
datalist?
For example:
<asp:datalist id="MyList" runat="server">
<ItemTemplate>
<table border="0" width="300">
<tr>
<td><%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "title") %></td>

I'm using a DataList inside a Grid Layout Panel (which ends up being a
<DIV>) so that I can use the overflow:scroll property. This is working fine,
except for one anomaly: If there aren't enough items to cause an overflow,
and scrolling, they get spaced evenly inside the <DIV>. So, one item appears
in the middle of the area, two spread out with space on top, between, and
bottom, etc. Finally, after adding enough to fill the area, the...

The html below shows DataList "DiscountList" nested within DataList
"EventItemList". DiscountList contains a Label control.
I'm trying to find the label, using FindControl, during
EventList_ItemCreated (below the html), but it's always <undefined
value> (null). Everything else works fine. Eventually I need to set
the value of the label depending up the Count of the DataView
"dvDiscount". For now I'll settle for just finding the damn...

I have multiple Grid objects that are editable on my page. The following is
an example of the onEditCommand method. In this case D1 (the Grid object)
is known.
****************************************************
sub DataEdit(S as Object, E as DataGridCommandEventArgs)
trace.warn("in DataEdit")
D1.EditItemIndex=Cint(E.Item.ItemIndex)
FillUpGrid()
end sub

I would like to construct my own list of items in a grid/ table/ item list
layout but I have a problem. I want to add a sort of index row based on
time, such as there might be blank values.
Sure the data list I have at the moment is in order, but I would like to
have each interval possible, and instead of repeating the row index (the
time value) I would like to list it once and then list the items within it
(the items associated with...

Hi,
I've planned an app where there's a lot of columns in a table and because of
that I'd like to split up the columns when presenting them in a datagrid.
I'll give you an example. It's always one year between every row
row _type descr amount remAmount rate interest accruedInterest
1 1 Claim1 100000 100000 10 10000 10000
2 1 Claim2 100000 200000 10 20000 30000

I am resurrecting an old script from a previous programmer, and want to
migrate it over to asp.net from classic asp. Tho there are other
peripheral parts of the script (that really have no bearing on the
core, in which I will explain), the main core is the concern. I have a
daily feed from a horseracing prognosticator that gets put into an sql
database on a daily basis for roughly 15 popular racetracks. A user
(who will need a...

I want to set the text value of a label that is within a datalist in
the codebehind. Does this have to be done in the databound event?
Simplified example:
<asp:DataList id="dlItem" runat="server">
<ItemTemplate>
<asp:Label ID="lblItemPrice" runat="server" />
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:DataList>

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
