ASP.NET 2.0 menu clientside click

Hi,

Does anyone know how/if I can trap for a user clicking on any menuitem in an
ASP.NET 2.0 menu. I know that I can add an onclick attribute to the menu
itself, but I can't seem to add this to an individual menu item.

I need to be able to know which menu item the user has clicked clientside
before the postback happens.

Thanks

Tony Joselin
