Hello one and all,
I'm developing an Asp.NET system to take a CSV file uploaded via the web,
parse it, and insert the values into an SQL database. My sticking point
comes when I try to split() the string returned by readline() on the file.
The following code snippet works for me:
tokens = "one,two,three,four".Split(",")
for each token in tokens
response.write("<td>"+token+"</td>")

Using a web form with an input field of type "file", is there a way to
upload an Excel .XLS file into the web server's memory, access a sheet, and
copy the data into an ADO.NET DataSet without saving the .XLS file to the
server's hard drive? In other words, access the .XLS file while it's in the
server's memory as if it resided on the hard drive.
Thank you !!

I have created an IHttpHandler that waits for uploads as attachments for a
webmail interface, and saves it to a directory that is defined in
config.xml.
My question is the following:
assuming that this is suppossed to end up as a component for others to use,
and therefore I do NOT have access to their global.cs::Session_End()
how do I cleanup files that were uploaded -- but obviously left stranded
when the users aborted/gave up writting...

Hello,
I am receiving a file as a binary stream from a C++ Client Application.
>From the application, the file is being sent as a
"Multipart/form-data".
I want to receive this file on the server, for which i am using
Request.Inputstream and reading it into a byte array. This is not
working as it is coupling the binary content with some Boundary and
text such as "Content-Disposition:

I asked the question yesterday, but know better how to ask it, today:
I'm trying to use the File.Copy method to copy a file from a client to
server (.Net web app under IIS ). It looks to me that when I
give a path like @"C:\holdfiles\myfile.txt" it looks on the server C drive.
How do I pull from the client? Do I need a different class and/or method?
Filestream?

Thanks,

I’m trying to upload a file to a Web Service. I have to submit the file
using a standard HTML form with the <input type=“file” /tag. Ultimately,
we are submitting the file from a Flash 8 application that uses Macromedia’s
flash.net.FileReference class. The FileReference class behaves like a
standard HTML form with the file input tag.
I know there are other options for submitting files through Web Services,
but we’re not able...

I'm cross posting, sorry, but this pertains to both sides..
I have a Web Services written in C# and a client written in VC6. I've
never uploaded files through web services so forgive my ignorance in this
matter, but I'm trying to understand how I can do this from the C++ client.
The C# code works for HTTP Form Posts, but not really what I'm looking for..
This should be for applications to upload files too.. The code is as
follows:...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development projectplanning, coding, testing, and deploymentwithout human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
