I want to get the session associated with the specific sissionID.
I made a activex control required to login to the server.My idead as follow:
1.Get sessionID through IHTMLDocument2 interface(a COM interface);
2.Send this value to the server;
3.Read the session associated with this sessionID and check if this
session logined.

Now i can get the sessionID.but don't know how to get the session by

You could use an http handler to do this.
I think this scenario is what you are looking for:

I means getting the session value from where out of the application
domain.such as an windows service.actuall y,I want to check the login status
through a sessionID.The activex control sends the sessionID.The windows
service check the session and reply if the session associated with this
sessionID logined.So,it must get the web application and enquire the session
value.

I have noticed that the id of my session object changes when I switch from a non-secure to a secure connection. What I'm trying to do: I have a cookie that is built on the non-secure side of things. What I need to do is to switch to a secure connection and then later on while still in that secure connection delete the cookie that was created on the non- secure side. I need to do this because I can not reference the non-secure cookie...

All, I'm new to ASP development and I have a basic design question: Is it ok to store business objects to session variables or is there a better way to keep object information? For example, if a user logs onto the website, a user object is created that stores their full name, email address, street address, phone, etc. This object also has methods to do 'other' things such as validations, counters,

When a request comes into a page on my ASP.net site and a session is not found, I want to detect whether the request is an initial request or if the user did have a session going that has now been lost and show an explanatory message before restarting the session. Rather than tagging a 'session in progress' flag on the end of every request querystring I'd like to detect it using data sent in every request. One idea I had was that when...

Does cookieless session state (with the sessionid embedded into the url) interfere with the browser's retrieval of cached images from one session to the next? Does the sessionid embedded into the url effectively limit client-side image caching to the lifetime of the session? Thanks Jake

Howdy, I'm trying to capture the session end event. I put a spot of code in the Session_End event in the Global.asax.vb file. The function simply writes to a database table logging the event. I have the same function in the Session_Begin and the Application events. I am capturing the Session beginning and the App begin and end but no Session end. My end goal is to capture some session objects before it dies and log it. Thanks,

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
