Drag and drop an email message to a user web control

Can anybody point me out on how to be able to drag and drop email messages
to a user web control?

From what?

Its going to be a matter of BOTH the app the message is coming from AND the
control you are putting on the page. We'll need more details first. Drag/Drop
is not a very fun thing in regards to web apps really.

Hi Curt,

I would like to drag and drop a email from an outlook or outlook express to
a c# asp.net web control. The idea is exactly the same as when doing drag
and drop on a word document. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

There seems to be two ways to put things on the clipboard ( I don't mean different formats): SetClipboardData and OleSetClipboard If I want to get data off the clipboard do I care how it was put there? What about Drag/Drop; is there more than one way for the source to make data available Is it always OLE?

Do drag n drop in VB.Net in ten lines of code - (too easy) I was searching through the MSDN documentation trying to figure out how to do drag n drop and I found a sample program. The sample program did all sorts of fancy junk like dynamically create it's user controls etc. (pomp - is it really necessary to be so gaudy when trying to explain a simple point?) So, realizing the state of the economy and the period of history in which I was...

I have created a C# user control which display certain filesystem information, and allows the user to drag an drop files into and out of the control. I then placed this user form in IE using an <object> tag. Doing this has broken the drag and drop functionality from Windows Explorer into IE (it still works fine going from IE to Windows Explorer). The problem is that whenever I drag a file over IE, IE wants to implement the drop...

Hi to all, I'm writing a windows form application that has a panel with some labels in it. I need to let the user move these labels with drag and drop inside the panel. How can I do it? I now how to drag and drop for example the text contained in a textbox, but not the whole control. I read an article called "Fake drag and drop" that works without dragdrop event and it's not so good.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
