Dear all,
I've encountered some strange behaviour with PHP (4.3.2) using the CLI-API.
When I provide an option in the first line of my script like so:
#!/usr/bin/php -c /path_to_my_ini_file
and call the script from the (bash-)commandline, PHP seems to ignore this
setting.
Calling the script with:
php -c /path_to_my_ini_file myscript.php

I am running a 9.0.1 database on a W2K server and have come across
some strange behaviour with a SQL query.
I have a query which runs in a PL/SQL cursor which has several PL/SQL
variables used to switch on and off certain rules. One idea I had was
to have two queries UNIONed together with a simple switch selecting
which half was to operate (I know it sounds like there are probably
better ways of doing this but I have my reasons).
To cut...

Hi - any help with this would be greatly appreicated - it has already had me
confused for a good few hours!
I am using Visual Studio 2003 and the .NET framework 1.1.
I have a C# Windows Service, with my own class extending from ServiceBase in
the normal fashion. The service starts a remoting object (WKO and
singleton) which many clients can then make calls on. Clients may also
register with events on the server such that the server...

Hi,
the following few lines of code are showing a quite
strange and unexpected behaviour of namespaces that
makes me worry wheater I should rely on namespaces in
the future at all.
The example below compiles if OK is defined, but gives
the following error otherwise:

Dear Group
I came accross a very annoying behaviour of Visual Studio, giving me
six hours of headache till I found the solution.
This post is mainly for fellow developers for reference as it took me
ages reading through tons of posts till I found an answer. However, I'm
also interested why Visual Studio behaves that way. If anyone has a
theorie on it please let me know.

recently I encounter a very strange behaviour of the session variable. if the cookies are disabled, the session id is totally misplaced (see code). instead being attached to the URL it is placed before the > of the anchor tag. has anyone an idea, how to prevent that?
maybe I should note, that the HTML is coming from a XSL transformation…
and another note, if the anchor element contains a text node, the variable insertion is correct.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
