I want to upload files via an HTML form and store them somewhere on my
webspace. So far so good. I am just a bit concerned about security issues
and traffic. My provider has set a file size limit of 20MB in php.ini. My
questions are:

Hi everyone.
Well, i'm working on an assignment in PHP 4.x, where i have to upload files
to a folder using PHP.
However, i cannot upload files more than 3MB. Actually, i have to upload
files up to 20MB.
Isn't there anyway how i can solve this?

Is it possible to set httpRuntime.maxRequestLength to
limit the suze of an uploaded file dynamically or is it
only possible statically in Web.config file (or
system.config)
ie I would like to give different users a different

Hi. I've built a page using standard ASP.NET 2.0 features and when I upload a
large file (>20MB) to our intranet server, I get a paltry 100KB/s on our
100Mb/s LAN. Simply copying the file, I get around 7MB/s.
I'm using a FileUpload control on an .aspx page, and then I'm writing the
MyFileUpload.PostedFile.InputStream off to a database.

Hi there,
I am using a POST method to upload a big file (20M), I have already
set the max-upload-file = 30M in php.ini and have the hidden
MAX_FILE_SIZE=30M in multipart form. However, it still refuse to upload
such file. For some reason, I am not going to use ftp instead. Any
idea?

I'm using a pure ASP upload script to handle file uploading. We run IIS6 and I'm aware of the AspMaxRequestEntityAllowed variable in the metabase. Is there a way to get the size of a file on a remote machine before it
is uploaded? I would like to write some form of status counter which
