ActiveDirectory - probing the "Computers"

Hi guys

I want to find out which of my ActiveDirectory users is logged on to a
particular ActiveDirectory Computer.

I can get what Computer a user is logged on to with

Dns.Resolve(Req uest.ServerVari ables["REMOTE_HOS T"]).HostName;

But I want to create a list of the computers on the network, with whos
logged on at each. Seems daft to probe every user on the network to see what
computer theyre on.

Is there a way in .DirectoryServi ces that enables me to go through each
Computer in AD and find out the logged on user?

Cheers
Dan

I know that this topic has the potential for blowing up in my face, but I can't help asking. I've been using Python since 1.5.1, so I'm not what you'd call a "n00b". I dutifully evangelize on the goodness of Python whenever I talk with fellow developers, but I always hit a snag when it comes to discussing the finer points of the execution model (specifically, exceptions). Without fail, when I start talking with some of the "old-timers"...

Greetings, I apologize for the cross post I posted previously to .Net Framework with no replies... I have an application server that potentially will service all enterprise applications from the context of business components.. The components that will run on this machine in some circumstances could be very far reaching and require much more access than just the local system account could provide. I am considering creating a application...

In Harbison and Steele's text (fourth edition, p.111) it is stated, The C language does not specify the range of integers that the integral types will represent, except ot say that type int may not be smaller than short and long may not be smaller than int. They go on to say, Many implementations represent characters in 8 bits, type short in

Hi all I have a problem running Visual Basic 2005 (.NET) programs in other computers different of that where I have Visual Studio installed. I know I have to install the .NET framework in the other computers and so I did. I don't have problems with simple programs. They run nicely. The problem is with programs that use Excel files. In fact with just adding Imports Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel to the program hampers it of running in...

I have a very frustrating problem. I have a situation that works fine on some computers, but not on others. I have SQL Server Express 2005 and Access 2003 loaded on 4 computers. I have set up a "Linked Server" in SQL Server linked to my Access database. I am running queries on t-SQL against the Access tables through the linked server. On all of the computers, I can do select queries and they all work great but what I need to do is run...

Hi there! I am using the "shelve" module in a script to save information in between runtime sessions of the program. (its a sort of data collector, so its important to hold on to anything computed ). In any case, I shelve into a file "test.txt". I notice that when i try running the program on a different computer (by either emailing or transfering the file "test.txt" via USB key), the program is unable to load the shelve file. What can...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
