Enterprise library data access and connectionstrin g

Hi,

I'm using the data access code block from the enterprise library inside an
asp.net 2.0 webapplication.
This application also uses the MembershipProvi der. This one is using a
connectionStrin gs.
Now I have to declare two connection strings, one for the membership and one
for the code block.

For the membership I use "AttachDBFilena me", for the MembershipProvi der I
first have to attache the database.
(We are talking about the same database, there are only two connection
strings)

- Is there a way to use one for all?

- Can I use "AttachDBFilena me" with the data access block?

- Is "AttachDBFilena me" slower then attaching the database?

Thanks!

Hi all. I'm trying to extend the Microsoft Enterprise Library Data Access Application Block (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/dnpag2/html/daab.asp?frame=true) to work with a Borland Interbase database. To do this, I copied and renamed the source files for working with a SQL Server database (SqlCommandWrapper.cs/SqlDatabase.cs to InterbaseCommandWrapper.cs/InterbaseDatabase.cs). I then changed all

Hi All, We are having a very strange problem with the above. We have designed an application in ASP.NET 2.0 that uses the enterprise library data application blocks amongst others. We seem to be maxing out the number of connections allowed to the sql server 7 server after running a few large queries through the application? There are less than 1000 rows of data in the database and we are at a loss as to how to fix this, does anyone have...

Well, I guess I did express myself very clearly. I implemented the Ent Lib 2.0 data block against SQL database successfully. The system now is a production system. But now we want to migrate the database to MySQL. From mySQL website you can find Connector/Net 1.0 and COnnector/ODBC, further more this link talks aboout http://dev.mysql.com/tech-resources/articles/dotnet/index.html#ADO.NET different approaches to connect to mySQL. Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
