Question about Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition

Joe
Hi,

I have a question about Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition. Usually I
use Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004 to code HTML, ASP and ASP.NET pages. I
have created a site in DM. An exact copy of the live website resides on my
development machine. My DM site is linked to live site on remote server via
FTP. So I check out the files using DM from remote website and then work on
the local copy and after I’m doing with the page, I use DM to Check In the
file to live server. Both the live server and my local test server is IIS.
I’m new to Visual Web developer 2005 Express Edition and I would like create
a website that will work just the same way as my DM site but I don’t know
how.
I read the help but didn’t get a clue as what I should do.

I will appreciate if someone can show me what should I do?

Thanks,

Joe

The 2003 product line, had the standard editions, you could only work with one single language, but, ASP.NET AND windows forms development was possible, and it wasn't that dumbed down. The price for a std edition: around 100$ Sadly, there isn't a true successor to those editions in the 2005 product line. There is a standard edition, but it costs 300$, although it supports now more than one language.

I don't know how much Microsoft is planning to price Visual Web Developer Express Edition. I heard rumors from free to $100. In my opinion I think it should make it free. The reason is to attract as many people to .NET and ASP.NET. This includes people who are in the Linux world using free IDE's like Eclipse and the people who are thinking of switching from Windows to Linux because Linux and Linux tools are free. Even if MS prices it at...

Hello, I am strictly an Access Developer with limited exposure to ASP. My client wants to put his database online through a brower, which would mean using Thin Client Web ( I think that is the correct term) or something like Visual Studio and creating web pages for accessing the database remotely. He wants the same functionality as the Access DB. Many of the forms and reports are extremely complex with 3-4 layers of subforms and...

Hi! I downloaded MS Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition, MS .NET Framework SDK v2.0, and MS SQL Server 2005. Subsequently, I bought MS Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition. 1) Are both the MS Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition and the MS Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition used to develop .ASP applications?

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
