Try around :
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...todatabase.asp
(Wring BLOB Values to a Database)

Always consider first to store the file outside DB. Insert the file in the
DB only if you really found a compelling reason to do so...

Hi All, I have a small problem at hand and am looking for suggestions. I have created a wrapper for word 2000 for our application which is in VB.NET 2003. Everything works fine in the sense that users are able to save documents through our application using word 2000 as the editor. I have written for word 2000 sothat the code works for other higher versions of word.

An article at http://news.com.com/2100-1012-991694.html?tag=fd_top states: "XML would allow easier interchange of data generated in Office documents with back-end systems or existing Web services." As part of an Access 2000 application, I have to continually parse Word documents and store the parsings in Access tables using Automation to control Word and parse the document. Is there a way that XML would help with that? Thanks.

Apologies for the newbie question. I have created a vb.net program for my company that is designed to work with Word Templates (about forty of them that we commonly use) that are selected by the user and populated (with info from an Access database) at run-time, then saved as Word documents. The program I have coded works fine -- it does what I need it to do. But it has two problems: (1) it runs very slowly, and (2) it does not seem to...

I want to create a method within a class that opens a Microsoft Word 2000 Document and has the facility to Create a new word document and then extract a Page that exists within the original Word Document and save it to a new Word Document. I would need to generate a loop for each page found within a word document to create a new word document and insert the existing page into the new word document and then save as a new word document. ...

Hello! First off, many many thanks to Albert who wrote the Mail Merge code for MS Access I am using. It has been working beautifully for a few years. However, my client just (without notice!) upgraded from Access 2000 to Access 2007. Now that component is failing. The merge is building the data source file fine (text file named merge.888). I am providing an absolute path reference to the word file being used for the mail merge. ...

Hi all, i have a problem. In my access-application i am trying to insert a record in a linked table with resides in a sqlserver 2000 database. However, the primary key in that table is an INT with identity. I would expect that sqlserver automatically determines the next unique primary-key value (increment = 1) but it seems that it doesn't. I get a primary-key violation. Is there a way to insert a record from access in sqlserver when the table...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
