I have setup Software Update Service servers at two locations in our
company (SUSserver1 and SUSserver2). I am modifying the web interface
on one server so that it will allow me to control both servers from
page. The problem I'm running into is that the synchronize and approve
functions are both .asp pages that use 'include virtual=' statements.
When i activate the link on SUSserver1 that should allow me control
SUSserver2 the link...

Hi,
During loading of the Global.asax, I need to get back the "application name"
that is configured in IIS. I have scoured the Http classes but there does
not seem to be any way to get to it. I know in IIS 6.0, I could retrieve it
through metabas.xml but I need this solution to work on Windows 2000, IIS
5.0 as well.
Many Thanks in advance for your help

Hello,
I have a web application with a virtual directory in it. With 'virtual
directory' i mean
a folder whose physical path is different from the physical path of the
application, but in which Web Sharing is active.
For example:
my application is in "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\MyApp",
the Virtual folder is in "C:\VirtualFolder",
and IIS sees it as if it were in "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\MyApp\VirtualFolder".

I am looking for a way to programatically change the .net version of the
virtual directory that I am creating within a aspx page.
As part of creating a new customer in my asp.net 2 application, it
automatically creates a virtual directory and configures it. I am using the
DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry class in C# to do this. I am unable to set
the .Net version of the virtual directory from 1.1 to version 2. All searches
led me to the...

I have a site www.stf.com and a site www.stfstage.com (where I do all my
testing).
The problem is that www.stfstage.com is only internal and I need to get
access from the outside (without creating a new domain).
I tried to create a Virtual directory inside my stf site so that I would
access it like: www.stf.com/stage/.
I run as www.stfstage.com fine and have for a long time.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
