I have a Windows 2003 Server enterprise + Visual Studio 2003 + IIS 6.
Creating new Web Projects and Services using VS 2K3 was working gr8. All of
a sudden today i was trying to creat/open a new/existing web application and
i got the following Error...
dotnet framework was not detected on the serer you are contacting you cant
run ASP.Net applications or services (something like that). I uninstalled
IIS and ASP.Net and reinstalled them...

get the following error (on the actual website page):
"It is an error to use a section registered as
allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error
can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application

As the topic already says, i just cant get it working. I am using
"ftp-mode" to get the files onto the server instead of using frontpage
extension.
When I try to debug, VS tells me, that the debugger cant connect to the
remote computer (server) - and, that a firewall might be the reason.
I have all firewalls disabled but it is still not working.
I cant find so much information about that issue regarding VS 2005.

Hey eb
After installing microsoft's script debugger,
I configured my default web site and internet explorer
to enable script debugging.
But when stepping into debugging mode in some asp page
i can't see the server side code of it (<%%> ).
Also in the debugger's Running documents window, i only see one branch
of documents, descending from the internet explorer node.
No trace there for the iis side of things..

I am using the new "web deployment addin" in VS 2005 to output my web
site. The web site is correctly output (assemblies generated in the
\bin subdirectory). The web site on my developement machine (WIN 2K
OS) can be accessed and works correctly from other workstations (i.e no
problem here).
The problem:
When deploying the web site (by just copying the correct subdirectories
and creating the application in IIS 6) on 2 dffering Windows...

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
