I have a master detail datagrid capable of expanding and
collapsing when u click on an imagebutton. I also have
used the Sort event handler for the child columns.
However, when I click on a column name on the child
datagrid, the entire datagrid (child) is collapsed . I
want to perform sorting on child datagrid keeping it

I've read an excellent "how to"-article by Microsoft (no. 306227) - partly

I have implemented the code related to the part "How to Add a CheckBox
Programmatically" in my code. I have changed it to use a OLDDB.DBReader to
populate the datagrid and for the databinding. It works perfectly - also
when using the edit-mode in the datagrid.

Is there a way to carry data that I have already read from the datagrid from
page to page?
I am looking at my Datagrid that I page through and when the user says get
the next page, I have to go to the database to get the next page. Is there
a way to use the dataset to allow us to read back and forth in it instead of
going back to the database to get it?

hi,
i need a datagrid w/ 2 headers, the datagrid is bound if( ! IsPostBack),
Ken Cox kindly shared some code that addes a new header in the
ItemDataBound method, so i moved it to Page_Load, and now the last row
of datagrid disappears on postback - i.e. all item rows disappera after
a few postacks
so far i found only this:
