Hi,

I want to align controls to the center of the screen how can i do this?

Hey all, I've got an ASP.NET app with a user control. The problem I have is that the controls in the user-control align vertically differently, i.e. the textboxes and dropdownlists align with the bottom and the imagebuttons align with the top. Needless to say this makes the user- control look bad! Anyone know how to fix this?

Hello, I have ‘Snap to Grid' turned off when I am working in the Design View of either a form or report. However, it only seems to be off when I use the mouse. If I try to move controls with CTRL/Arrow keys, the controls snap to the grid again. This makes lining up controls very difficult. What can I do so that the controls don't snap to the grid when I use the keyboard to move them?

Hello, Back in the Access 97 days, if I had two texboxes on a form or report that overlapped, and I selected both and did a Format, Align, Top from the menu in design view, the controls would align such that the top edge of one control would align with the bottom edge of the other and they would no longer overlap. I liked this behavior. Now, in Access 2003, performing the same actions in a similar situation causes the top edges of the...

I have a datagrid where I am trying to align some columns to the center. The rest should be aligned to the right. When I try the code below I get an error message saying that the index is out of bounds. When debugging I get the column count of the datagrid to be 1. I find this rather ridiculous only because there are 61 columns that I can physically see. :) Plus, the data table that I am using to bind the datagrid has a count of 61. ...

Hi, I have a ASP.NET project which is working fine and I need to align controls in a .aspx page. The webform( .aspx page) has variety of controls (labels, textboxes, radio buttons etc) and when a user resizes the window, I would like these controls to center align in the page. Is there a way to do this using visual studio? I did some research and found a way using <table> <tr> <td> tags. But this is becoming cumbersome for me because...

Hello All: Is it possible to align text (left, center, right) in a label, literal or literalcontrol? I haven't seen any examples and can't seem to work this one out (which means that it is probably straightforward ;)). I know I could use a CSSClass, but am wondering if there is something here that I have missed. TIA, -- Joe

I have a user control (with three controls inside it) that appears multiple times in the containing page. Sometimes I want to hide the rightmost control in the UC but if I do that it screws up the horizontal alignment of the other two controls. It appears that they are being stretched due to the absence of the others and I'm not sure how to fix it. If I dont hide anything it looks all lined up (each line is a web user control): Label ...

It seems a quite difficult problem. What is the best way to make page and all the controls fit nicely in the browser window? I have a 3x3 table and controls in it and want it to automaticaly resize itself on the whole html page so you can't see the gaps between browser borders and the page. When I set width and height to 100% I get weird oversized page. I couldn't find helpful articles on that matter. Anyone could help here? I use VS2005...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
