Mahesh i asuume you want to use Forms Auth.
If thats the case do the neccesary validation using UserId and Password
And the use your web.config for authorisation.
Hope this helps

Hi folks, I've been searching for a while and haven't found my specific question anywhere else. If this has already been asked, please accept my appologies and point me to the appropriate thread. I'm bidding on a PHP intranet development contract. One of the specific requirements is that the app interface with the company's existing Open LDAP server for user authentication.

I have one application that is used within our intranet that places a forms auth cookie for our domain (for intranet purposes only). All other applications rely on this cookie for authentication and user identification. i.e. on the 2nd applications if the cookie does not exist the user is redirected back to the primary app to get the forms authentication cookie Now, if i want to run locally the 2nd application it is looking for a...

Hi, I'm having what should be a minor problem but has turned into a 2 day slug fest with ASP.Net. I am simply attempting to authenticate my asp.net application users against users in an AD group set up on our domain. It seems to me I am missing something very simple and obvious, but none of the MSDN articles I have read are indicating what this might be. My setup is ASP.Net running on a Windows 2003/IIS 6 server. IIS security...

Hello, I am having trouble using Integrated Windows Authentication between our intranet server and our database server, both of which are on our local domain. Windows authentication works for our intranet server - my domain user "DOM\nme" is correctly authenticated and authorized to view the ASP.NET page on our intranet. The ASP.NET application uses impersonation (<identity impersonate="true"> in Web.config).

I have an asp.net application on our intranet, and I am trying to use windows authentication. My problem is that I would like to get the user's credentials without having the login / password box pop up when you go to the page. I'm currently logged into the domain, and I when I go to the web site, I would like the site to realize that I am logged in, and not prompt me for my username / password.

Now I have a web application, a web service and a SQL Server database. The Web application will invoke the web service, the web service invokes the SQL Server stored procedure. I let the web service run in an application pool which runs under a domain user, this domain user has permissions of accessing database and the connection to database is trusted connection. All these work well. The web application will be used in internet (not...

Guys, I'm unsure how to use windows authentication in an intranet application. I'd like to user existing windows account to identify users however the issue I have is how to then add settings to those users and map them to roles. If I'd like to restrict the windows users which log on and what tasks they can perform in the application how should I do this? Presumably I'd need one user to log in initially and perform admin type tasks...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
