Looking for CMS (Content Management System)

Tom
Hi,

I am currently looking for a Content Management System for one of my project
in ASP.NET.

Here are the requirements:

* web based content management
* ability to enter content/fragment in a structured way (mixture of plain
text input fields, drop-downs, radio buttons and rich text fields)
* ability to personalise content entry forms (so select the input fields
relevant to each content type)
* support for multilingual content (base version in English)
* some .NET components/controls exposing the CMS data (fragments, attributes
etc) for creation of templates in ASP.NET
* some sort of asset library, to select and upload pictures
* some security model based on roles and users
* maximum $20,000 licence per site, can be limited number of content editors

No need for:
* checkin /check out
* versioning
* searching
* workflow

Unfortunatly, MS CMS is too expensive for this project ($24,000 per CPU).

I think we could build something like this ourselves with SQL server as a
repository, but I would appreciate if someone could point me to existing
packages, compatible with .NET.

Many thanks,
Sebastien

I've evaluated Titan [1] and you should too. Call (414) 365-3038 and ask for
Rick Fessenbecker.
It would be nice if you told Rick I referred you.

It sounds like Empower by Activehead might fit your needs.

http://www.activehead.com

I'm not certain about the multi-lingual capabilities, but it is an
excellent tool. It is extensible so if it does not do what you need
natively, you, or Activehead can customize it.

Hi, Can I ask some advice in regards database solutions and content management solutions.? Do you have a philosophy on what is the best for databases - ASP, JSP, Cold fusion, PHP, etc. My company website site is going to be rebuilt and I am the lucky one to do this but I am unsure of the needs and complexity of the project, and what would be the best base code. Do you have any thoughts in this area? The site requires functionality...

Hi All, For the past few months I have been working on an open source Apache/PHP/MySQL content management system - and have recently made it available for download. It's still very much a work in progress (current release version is 0.4.6), but you should get a very good idea of what it's about by visiting the site (which uses it, funnily enough), or downloading a copy of it and trying it out.

Hello all, I'm sorry for the long post, but I think it's better if I'm as detailed as I can be so that I don't make a mistake in my choice and so that there's a clear understanding of to what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a content management system to use on a site (http://www.nigeriavillagesquare.com) that I help to moderate. Unfortunately (as I have discovered), there are literally hundreds of CMS's to choose from, so I am...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
