Hi,
I'm trying to add a search facility to a page that looks for matches in one,
other or both memo fields of a database. The code below works fine if the
visitor types in one word, or the term just happens to exist in one of the
queried fields.
What I'd really like is for a visitor to type in an expression, or query in
the same format as you would use in a search engine and it would find
appropriate matches. Any ideas how I can...

We have an ASP application which links to various word and excel documents
stored in a folder called attachments.
The documents are extermely confidential in nature and we would like
restrict the access to them through the application only.
How can we prevent users from guessing the name of the document and reach it

I've been trying to do line/character counts on documents that are
being uploaded. As well as the "counting" I also have to remove
certain sections from the file.
So, firstly I was working with uploaded MS WORD .doc files. Using code
like that below:

Hi,
I have an ASP.NET web application and almost everything is working fine
excepting failing to make an XML file be secure. There is an XML file which
includes meta-data for both of server-side .NET application and client-side
javascript application. And the meta-data in the XML file shoud be hidden
for unauthenticated clients.
I know ASP.NET doesn't care for .xml files in default setting, so I added a
file extention-application...

Running IIS 6 on Windows 2003 server.
After an update to the most recent version of php 5.1.2, for some reacon
a function handling uploaded files using is_file stopped working. is_file
failed for existing files. I fixed it by changing is_file to
file_exists, then it worked again. Prior to the update, in the older
version, presumably it was 5.0.1, is_file worked just fine without
problems.

webserver and then shows hyperlinks on a page pointing to these documents so
that the user can click them open and all this is only for users logged in
only. But the problem is that ones the user sees the name and part of the
document they are able to browse to the document using this url without even
