Are you using vs.net 2003 & 2005 beta on same machine?

Just wondering...

Have you had any issues using both vs.net 2003 and 2005 beta on your
machine? (including the 2 frameworks) Or, do they work pretty autonomously?
Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I have VS 2005 Beta 2 and VS 2003 and they work great. No problems what
so ever. Note that I did have problems with Beta 1, however.

No problemo, except that VS.Net 2005 has a bug with reference to creating a
Setup project for a Service, that also breaks VS.Net 2003's ability to
create a Setup project for a Service. Thankfully, I can use installutil.exe
to install the Service. Other than that, I haven't encountered anything.

I had major issues installing beta 1 on the same computer as VS2003.
Definitely don't install the VS2005 beta on a critical production work
computer whether or not VS2003 is on there.

I have installed the VS.NET 2005 Beta 1 and now VS.NET 2003 projects in VS.NET 2003 do not compile. Is the Beta supposed to run side by side with the older version? Or is it supposed to make older versions stop working any more?

Hi, I'm trying to get a head start learning SQL2005 and VS2005. I've purchased books and downloaded articles on both. Last night I installed SQL2005 on a newly formatted Win2003 server machine. This machine is strictly used for testing beta products. Now I'd like to install the latest beta release of VS2005 on this same machine. Are there any known issues with installing both of these beta products on the same machine? I imagine that...

I know this is not the best place to place this question but I am not currently able to access the Whidbey newsgroups for reason I am unable to identify at present. Just thought someone here might know. Are there any known problems with Windows XP Pro SP2 and VS beta? I am getting ready to install the SP2 but really can't afford to have it blow up my machine right now.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
