Trying to figure out the technique which should be used
to add rows to a datagrid. I am thinking that I would
want an "Add" button on the footer, but I am not quite
sure how to do that. Is that the best method? Do you
have a sample of how to do this?

Most of this code comes from or follows the walkthrough (Using a
DataGrid Web Control to Read and Write Data). The problem is that as
soon as you click the Edit link, the data rows disappear, leaving you
with just the header row. I've figured out what's happening, but can't
figure out why.
Following along with the debugger, as soon as you click Edit, execution
goes to Page_Load, and at that point, before it even checks postback,
the...

When trying to update a record in an editable datagrid I ran into a few
problems.
My update procedure is just not working.
Can someone please have a look at my code and see what am I doing wrong.
I had to set the datagrid's DataKeyField to MailSubscriberID manually since
vs does not do it automatically.
Thanks

Hello,
I am attempting to to take edited values from a datagrid control and update
the underlying database. Problem is that some of the edited values don quite
seem to make it to my update sub. My code is shown below. The values that
are not appearing are Cell(4) - sCompletion and Cell(5) - sNote. The other
values show up just fine.
What am I missing here?

Can someone please tell me why the datagrid doesn't databind and display rows
once the Add button is clicked and the cmdSaveToDataset event fires, to add a
row to the dataset? I've copied the code:
-------------------
Public Class WebForm1
Inherits System.Web.UI.Page
#Region " Web Form Designer Generated Code "

I have a shopping cart datagrid that is filled only the first time the page
is accessed, like so:
If Page.IsPostBack = False Then
RetrieveShoppingCart()
End If
The user can then change the quantity or check a cart item for deletion.
When they click the update button, I am attempting to iterate through the
grid, evaluating the Quantity textbox and Remove checkbox for each cart item

A Form has a DataGrid which displays records from a SQL Server 2005 DB
table. Users can modify the records using this DataGrid for which I am
using EditCommandColumn in the DataGrid. This is the code:
<script runat="server">
Dim sqlConn As New SqlConnection(".....")
Sub Page_Load(ByVal obj As Object, ByVal ea As EventArgs)
If Not (Page.IsPostBack) Then
FillDataGrid()

Hi all!
I am attempting to bring an SQL Server table into ASP.NET using the datagrid . I have set all cells to be a text box by which the user can just click on and edit the cell. I have a save button and when I click the save button the page reloads and the new data is in the cell, however when I close out and come back in the data is no longer there. I have a databind() subroutine which includes a postback included within my code for...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
