vs 2003 proyect for deploy on W2k with IIS5

Hello, my customer has w2k with iis5. My boss says that I have to developer
with vs.net 2002 because they have that configuration.
He is not an expert as me so I think he is wrong. The an

THe answer I gave to him is the only thing the customer needs is FrameWork
1.1 and that I can work on my office with vs.net 2003 and then generate a
setup proyect, than I would bring that setup file to the customer server
and execute it independently if they have IIS5 or IIS5. (Am I right)?
And as far as I know framework is free and doesnt need a license.

I must justify this with microsoft oficial documents for they to beliveme
and I must ensure that if I make a project on vs.net 2003 its going to work
on their server without problems and no additional cost.s

Whats the difference betweeen vs.net 2002 and 2003. between framework 1.0
and 1.1

Does Windows 2000 already has net framework installed by default? which
version?
Thanks for your help.

visual studio matches the version of .net

vs2002 = .net 1.0
vs2003 = .net 1.1
vs2005 = .net 2.0

1) you should use the VS that matches the version of the framework installed
on the server.
2) win2003 server is the only o/s to ship with .net (1.0, i believe)
3) .net 1.1 framework can be installed on win2000 and is free

Hi Guys, I'm really new to .Net development and need your advise on this. Recently I've completed a web application using VB.net (Visual Studio .Net 2003). In the application whenever the user clicks the delete button, a msgbox will appear prompting the user to confirm the deletion via the Yes or Cancel button. On my own machine (Win 2k IIS5), the msgbox appears without any issues.

Ok I have searched the MS website for info on this. I am totally confused. If I want to deploy an Access 2003 app and allow my users to run it using Access 2003 Runtime, where do I get the Runtime? I just purchased Office 2003 Professional. Is Access 2003 Runtime included with that or not? It APPEARS that the only way I can get Access 2003 Runtime is to

Hi, I have a C# ASP.NET project in VS.NET and it used to build, debug and run fine. I had to disable IIS5.1 to run Java based code on JBoss for a month. Now I re-inabled IIS and tried to run my C# project in debugger: 1) I can't build the project, getting a few compilation errors like: - No overload for method 'Open' takes '13' arguments; - Property, indexer, or event 'value' is not supported by the language....

All, Not sure where else to go. I have: VS2005, XP SP2 Media Center, IIS5.1 Problem: Apps developed (even simple "Hello WOrld") apps simply won't deploy properly to either my local IIS instance or to a 2nd server W2003K server. When I publish, create them as IIS apps, or copy, even after running both/either the ASP2.) security tab or the web admin (asp based) manager they will not enable properly.

User clicks a link that displays a customer card and financial stats (has a lot of database calls). Every 5 times the user clicks the same page/link it takes about 30 seconds (normal response time is <1 second) to display. Then you can click 4 times with a normal response time and the 5th the repsone time it is 30 seconds again. The page has exactly the same parameters every time but there seem to occur some "locking" that stops the action...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
