I am implementing Front Controller in ASP.net as outlined in Microsoft documentation titled "Implementing Front Controller in ASP.NET Using HTTPHandler" (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnpatterns/html/ImpFrontControllerInASP.asp
Everything works well except for context.server.transfer(string url) method (refer to RedirectingCommand.cs class in the above documentation)

I am trying to transfer to a different .ASPX page using Server.Transfer.
However, I get the following error:
"Error executing child request for .aspx."

Is there a way to redirect from an ASP.NET page to an ASP page without
showing the ASP page's URL in the client's browser?
This works perfectly with an HTML page, for example:
path = "~/cp/test.htm"
Server.Transfer(path, False)
But with an .asp extension, the I get an HttpException, "Error executing
child request for ~/cp/test.asp."

use the Server.Transfer method to invoke a second aspx
page. The following code is executed in a LinkButton click
eventhandler on Page1.aspx.

I have 2 ASP.Net solutions/projects. I want to use Server.Transfer in one
solution/project to call the aspx webform in the second solution/project.
When I try it I get an error message. My call is straightforward:
Server.Transfer("/ServerTransferUtility/Server.aspx")
The call finds my target page but errors out on its first line:

Says to use Response.Redirect but get this error here:
Error: The resource cannot be found.
I would like to use Server.Transfer as it is a better performer, and need
access to the text box controls from the original page after the page is
directed.
