I have a datagrid control in a web application in which I
have both paging and sorting enabled. The sorting works
only on the current page. If I am on page 1 and sort by
any field, the page displays the records sorted properly.
If I go to the next page the records on that page are not
sorted.
The datagrid is bound to a dataview. I set the sort on
the dataview in the sort event.

Hi,
I am adding a paging function to a datagrid control, the datasource is a
DataSet Object. Based on some articles, I just add some attributes to
datagrid, ie.
Allowpaging=true,Pagesize=5,PagerStyle-Mode="numbericPages",
it is nice that it worked , page index appeared.
But when I clicked the page index,no paging effect appeared, on the web
page is the same record as the first view.

I can not get my datagrid to page. I have a datagrid that
I can sort 2 of the columns. This works great. I added
paging and when I display the dg it shows 5 pages. (I am
showing page numbers at the bottom of the dg.)
When I click on the pages nothing happens until I get to
the last page. Then and only then is the last page
displayed. If I go back through the pages the second to
last page displayes the first page again.

The sql query for my datagrid returns 100, 000 records. But the datagrid
should display 20 records per page. I am using datagrid paging, but it is
taking too much time for the page to load. Is there any way I can optimize
the speed. Any sample code would be great.

I want my gird to sort only the items on the current page when I click on a column header. I wrote a little test app, but when I sort it pulls in items from other pages and places them on the current page.
i.e.
If I have:
IntegerValue StringValue CurrencyValue

I am having a pretty wired problem...I am writing a web part (SPS 2003) that
uses a Datagrid. In the web part, I create the datagird assign some
properties and add event handlers for paging and sorting using AddHandler.
While browsing, I sort the grid and do paging, it works fine for increasing

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
